I work with families around end-of-life moments to provide comfort and structure during difficult times. When I officiate funerals, I spend time with relatives in advance to capture some of the essence of the loved one who died. I officiate graveside funerals as well as services in a memorial chapel or other space.
Funerals, shiva services, unveilings and memorials serve a dual purpose. These Jewish ceremonies bring honor to the person who died and they serve to comfort the family members and friends who are mourning the loss. Funerals and shiva services that I lead can range from traditional to custom with a blend of Hebrew and English, per the preferences of the family. I also perform funerals for those who choose to be cremated.
