Rabbi Rebecca Kaufman serves as Assistant Rabbi at Congregation Beth Chaim, a Reform synagogue in Princeton Junction, NJ. She also regularly performs community life cycle events including weddings, b-mitzvah services, funerals, and baby namings for couples and families not affiliated with a synagogue. She loves bringing the richness of Jewish tradition to modern celebrations and observances. Rabbi Kaufman happily celebrates with interfaith and LGBTQIA+ couples and families.
Prior to becoming a rabbi she worked for seven years in the nonprofit sector, designing and leading programs focused on philanthropy and purposeful careers. Rabbi Kaufman was ordained by Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in 2023 where she was a Wexner Graduate Fellow. She is a member in good standing of the CCAR (Central Conference of American Rabbis). She graduated from Princeton University where she studied Latin American History. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Tavi, and their two young children.
